Jehoshua is on the throne of David in New Jerusalem and He is the King of a New Israel
I have chosen the name Seventh Day Anabaptist to represent my beliefs. I have a couple brothers in Christ who also hold to the faith of Seventh Day Anabaptism. My goal is not to start a denomination as that would be contrary to how the Anabaptists viewed the Church. From the name, it is obvious that we believe in keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath.
There were Sabbath keeping Anabaptists in the 16th century and also at the turn of the 17th century. The pioneers of this Sabbath keeping Anabaptist movement were Oswald Glait and Andreas Fischer. These men believed much like their Protestant rivals that the decalogue still applied to the new covenant Christian. The difference being that the Protestants had a Sunday Sabbath and the Anabaptists of Glait and Fischer had a Saturday Sabbath. Unlike some other Sabbath keeping groups, we hold no division with our Sunday keeping brethren. We firmly believe that they like ourselves are saved by grace through faith. We do however believe that Jehovah is concerned about the violation of the 4th commandment by much of the Church as He said to remember the Sabbath day. We also believe that the Sabbath could be a prominent issue in the end times. However, we also believe that we are to judge nothing before the time so we seek to have an attitude of love towards our Sunday brethren and consider them exactly that "our brethren". We choose the name "Anabaptist" as it represents the principles of the faith that we stand for. You can look on this blog and get a more detailed description of Anabaptist beliefs. Here are a few: 1) Separation of Church and State 2) Local Church concept over the universal Church concept 3) believers baptism 4) No involvement in military or civil government, we are peacemakers in this world according to the Son of God's gospel. 5) Priesthood of all believers 6) the "ban", meaning Church discipline. 7) the two kingdoms, one of this world and one of Christ. We are loyal and have allegiance only to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. We live in His Kingdom and separate ourselves from the principles of the world's kingdom. 8) The Sermon on the Mount is our core theology These are the basic Anabaptist principles. We choose this name because we believe in historical Anabaptism. Much of modern day Anabaptism has apostatized into ecumenicalism and/or isolationism. As historical Anabaptists, we are not ecumenical with false denominations or Church movements. We are also not isolationists, we are evangelistic as were the Anabaptists during the reformation. We seek to be a light in the midst of darkness.
