Jehoshua is on the throne of David in New Jerusalem and He is the King of a New Israel
Matthew 5:5
"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" Most Christians overlook this verse and it's implications. These are the words of the Son of God Jesus Christ. This is from the sermon on the mount in which He gave His Kingdom law. Most of the mainstream Church system teaches that the inheritance of believers is heaven in the sky yet the Lord Jesus Christ says the meek shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:10 "Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness` sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" The Kingdom of heaven denotes that the Kingdom of God has it's origins in heaven where His throne is. This verse shouldn't cause confusion as Jesus said that New Jerusalem would come down out of heaven after His return: Revelation 3:12 "He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name" The Kingdom of heaven based in New Jerusalem, which is the Headqaurters of the church, comes down to earth according to the Son of God. Elsewhere this is confirmed in the book of Revelation: Revelation 21:2 "And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven of God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband" New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven after the millennium, which is concurrent with the new covenant Church age. The new covenant Church age concludes at the glorious appearing of the Son of God which takes place at the last day. So instead of going to heaven after Christ comes back, God brings heaven to us. Daniel 7:18 "But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever" What Kingdom are we going to receive? Daniel 7:21-22 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 until the ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. After the antichrist's war with the saints, in which he overcomes them, Jehovah God will enter a guilty verdict on the little horn and give the saints the Kingdom to possess. Daniel 7;26-27 26 But the judgment shall be set, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High: his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Notice here that the Kingdom and dominion that will be given to the saints is the same territory (dominion) that the antichrist ruled over which was the same dominion and kingdom that the four beasts ruled over. Obviously, the Kingdom and dominion spoken of here in these verses refers to this earth not the skies of heaven. Verses 23-25 show the fourth beast and the 10 break off Kingdoms and their activity leading up to the little horn. After Jehovah God convenes the judgment against the little horn, He gives the saints the dominion and kingdom under the whole heaven. The Kingdom will be ruled by Jehovah God Himself and the Son of man (Daniel 7:13-14) who is the Davidic King Jesus Christ. The wording that the Kingdom under the whole heaven will be given to the saints proves that the eternal Kingdom is on earth otherwise it would say "the Kingdom above heaven" or "in heaven". Under the whole heaven obviously denotes a geographical location that is under (below) the open firmament (sky-1st heaven) and the firmament of heaven (skydome-2nd heaven) which is below the heaven of heavens, where Jehovah God's throne is (3rd heaven). There is only one place that can qualify & that is earth. Revelation 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever" This is more evidence that the eternal Kingdom of God and Christ will be on earth and not up in heaven. The seventh trumpet is the last trumpet which will kick off the resurrection of the dead. It is the second advent of Christ that is precisely the event in which the Kingdoms of this world become the Kingdoms of God and His Christ. The Kingdoms of this world are on earth so if they become the Kingdoms of God and Christ, then clearly the eternal Kingdom is on earth as well. Revelation 5:9-10 9And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,10and madest them to be unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth. By virtue of Jesus death on the cross those that are begotten from above are now kings and priests and they reign upon the earth. This is a present tense reality and it shows that our kingship and priesthood is one that is performed on the earth. While our kingship is rooted in heaven (Ephesians 1:4; 2:6) we operate in it on earth. This is the ASV translation, the KJV translation reads like this: "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" While the ASV emphasizes our present tense reigning on the earth the KJV emphasizes our future reigning on the earth. They both are correct and these verses show that the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is a Kingdom that will be consummated on the earth. Also, these verses show that the destiny of the saints is to inherit the earth not fly up to heaven. Matthew 25:31 "But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory" Come where? Obviously to earth because He is coming from heaven. Jesus will perform the judgment of the sheep and the goats from His throne of glory on the earth. The sheep go to the Kingdom prepared for them by God the Father before the foundation of the world (Matt 25:34). The goats will be told to depart from Jesus and will be cast into the lake of fire. As noted throughout this study, the eternal Kingdom is on earth so the saints will inherit this earth. Jesus doesn't wisk the saints away to heaven after the judgment but rather they stay on this earth which will be made new. The wicked are burnt up in the lake of fire which is also on the earth. The wicked are destroyed forever so the lake of fire is not a permanent situation thereby once the earth is made new there is no death, crying, pain or sorrow. Acts 1:11 "who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? this Jesus, who was received up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye beheld him going into heaven" The angels told the disciples that the return of the Son of God would be a reversal of his ascension. He ascended from the mount of Olives to heaven. His return will be from heaven to the mount of Olives as we see below in Zechariah 14: Zechariah 14:4 "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south" This verse is a prophecy of the Son of God's second advent and it matched perfectly with what the angels told the disciples above in Acts chapter 1. Clearly Jesus touches down on the mount of Olives when He returns. He does not resurrect the saints and take them back to heaven but rather He brings them with Him to His destination i.e. earth. Zechariah 14:16 "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles" After the Son of God lands on the mount of Olives and fights the battle of Jerusalem, He will consummate His Kingdom on the earth and all the nations will go to Jerusalem to worship Jehovah God and keep the feast of tabernacles. This will be the New Jerusalem that comes down from heaven where all the nations will go to celebrate the feasts. Isaiah 11:9-10 9They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.10And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious. This is a prophecy both about the first advent of Christ and His second one. The first advent is covered in the first few verses of Isaiah which speak of His baptism. In these verses we see the aftermath of Jesus second coming in which the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah i.e. His law. The root of Jesse is the Davidic King who will be the banner (ensign) of the Israel of God. The nations that are saved will seek the Davidic King who is called Shiloh (resting place). This shows us that the eternal Kingdom of God will be on the earth not in the skies of heaven as the text says the earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah. The holy mountain of Jehovah will be the heavenly Zion come down to earth (Revelation 3:12). Isaiah 65:17-18 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. This will be the New Jerusalem which will be the capital city of the new heavens and new earth. Always remember Revelation 3;12 and 21:2 which says New Jerusalem will come down from out of heaven. Down from heaven obviously denotes the earth, which is under heaven. This text matches that of Isaiah 11 as there will be no hurting or destroying in Jehovah's holy mountain (Isaiah 11:9; 65:25). This shows that the new heavens and new earth in Isaiah 65 are the result of the Son of God's second advent which is the context of Isaiah 11. Verses 7 and 8 of chapter 11 and verse 25 in Isaiah 65 show that animals who were once enemies now dwell together peacefully. Again, this shows that the new heavens and new earth come right after the second advent which is what Isaiah 11:6-12 is about. Isaiah 65:21-22 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. We will have a real physical existence in the eternal Kingdom where we will eat, drink and build houses and plant vineyards. This could only happen in a real physical place. Isaiah 66:22-24 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the dead bodies of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. Just as we will keep the feast of tabernacles after the second advent of Christ on the earth we will also keep the Sabbath and new moons. Of course, it will be in the new heavens and new earth that we keep the holy days but is on the earth not in the skies of heaven. To further prove that the new heavens and new earth are on this earth made new, verse 24 says we will look upon the dead bodies of the transgressors which obviously can't be in heaven because the wicked are going to be destroyed right here on this earth (Revelation 19). Note that verse 23 says that all flesh will worship Jehovah God. This shows that we will have physical bodies in the heavenly Kingdom and not be disembodied souls. Isaiah 2:2-3 2 And it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah`s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. This passage offers a description of the times right before the coming of the Son of God. The mountain of Jehovah's house is the heavenly Zion, the city of the living God New Jerusalem: Hebrews 12:22 "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels" The mountains and hills that Jehovah's mountain will be established is a reference to the earthly kingdoms & earthly landscape. This shows clearly that the Kingdom of Jehovah God will be here on earth otherwise there would be no reason to state that His Kingdom would be established in the top of the mountains on earth. This fits perfectly with Revelation 11:15 and the book of Daniel which state the Kingdoms of this world under the whole heaven will become the Kingdom of God and His only begotten Son. The nations that will flow to the New Jerusalem are the nations of the saved: Revelation 21:24 "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it" Unbelievers will not have access to the Kingdom of God as they will have been destroyed in the lake of fire. The law of Jehovah God which is His word will still be applicable in the new heavens and new earth. That will still be the standard of righteousness. The saints will go to the house of Jehovah in the heavenly Zion to worship Jehovah God every Sabbath and new moon (Isaiah 66:22-23). Daniel 7:34-35 34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. The stone cut without hands represents the Son of God's second advent in which He destorys the Kingdom of the antichrist (feet, clay and iron). The Kingdoms of this world (brass, gold, silver, iron and clay) are broken to pieces (Revelation 19) & are swept away like chaff of the summer threshing floors meaning they will no longer exist. No place will be found for them as the Kingdom of Jehovah will take up the whole earth & be a great mountain (Kingdom). Daniel says Jehovah's Kingdom will fill the whole earth (verse 35). Again, this clearly teaches that heaven will be on earth not up in the skies. It also teaches that our inheritance as God's children is earth not in the skies above. Daniel 2:44 "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever" The Kingdom of God will be set up in the days of these kings, specifically the iron & clay kingdoms. Where will the Kingdom be set up? We'll the passage says It will not be left to other people because the Kingdom will fill the whole earth (Daniel 2:35). Therefore there will be no room for anyone who is not part of the Kingdom of God. The other people are the nations of the unsaved: Revelation 21:27 "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life" Only those written in the lambs book of life will be allowed in the Kingdom which fills the whole earth.
