Jehoshua is on the throne of David in New Jerusalem and He is the King of a New Israel
"reap the whirlwind" What does this phrase mean and how can we apply today to modern Christendom? Hosea 8:6-7 6 For from Israel is even this; the workman made it, and it is no God; yea, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces. 7 For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up. The context surrounding these two verses have to do with idolatry. This will help us understand what the phrase "sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind" means? The problem here is Israel's idolatry of the golden calf. Their idolatrous worship of the golden calf was Israel sowing to the wind as they were worshipping something that didn't exist. I will show this applies to moden Christendom and how it doesn't bode well for their future. Hosea 1:1 "Set the trumpet to thy mouth. As an eagle he cometh against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law" This is a warning against the house of Israel (house of Jehovah). Hosea the prophet says that the enemies of Israel will come against them because they have transgressed the covenant and law of Jehovah God. This is Jehovah's doing i.e. to send judgment against Israel. What part of the covenant and law is Israel breaking? Verse 6 above says it all, idolatry! This idolatry was worshipping a calf as if it was JEHOVAH GOD. Note that they didn't think they were worshipping another god such as one of the gods of the other nations but they actually believed they were worshipping the God of Israel. Hosea 1:2-3 2 They shall cry unto me, My God, we Israel know thee. 3 Israel hath cast off that which is good: the enemy shall pursue him. In the day of their calamity Israel will plead that they know God. Jehovah God will send the enemy after Israel as punishment for casting off that which is good. That which is good is the worship of Jehovah God as the only true God. Even though Israel thought they were worshipping Jehovah God by worshipping the calf the actual law of Jehovah forbids this type of worship. Exodus 20:3-6 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness [of any thing] that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me, 6 and showing lovingkindness unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. The first of the 10 commandments is to have no other gods before Jehovah God. This includes making a graven image and worshipping it as Jehovah God. We are not to bow ourselves before any image that is supposedly said to be Jehovah God nor any of the heathen gods. Jehovah God is a jealous God and visits iniquity upon those who violate his law. This is what ia going on in Hosea chapter 8. JEHOVAH'S loving kindness is only for those who keep His commandments. The above passage lists the first two commandments which are about worshipping JEHOVAH GOD. By worshipping a false god or worshipping Jehovah in a false way both of the first two commandments are being broken. This even applies to the third commandment: Exodus 20:7 "Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain" By worshipping the golden calf, Israel was taking JEHOVAH'S name in vain. Taking JEHOVAH'S name in vain is not about pronunciation but rather worshipping God in a false way. Knowing that Jehovah God is one the absolute most important commandment according to the Son of God Jehoshua (Mark 12:28-34). This commandment is called the shema: Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah: 5 and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" The most important commandment of the bible teaches that JEHOVAH God is one and that we are to love Him with all our heart, soul and strength. Hosea 8:4 "They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off" The children of Israel of the Northern Kingdom had constructed for themselves idol's of gold and silver. They worshipped these idols thinking they were worshipping JEHOVAH God. Hosea 8:5 "He hath cast off thy calf, O Samaria; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?" Samaria is a reference to the northern Kingdom of Israel as Samaria was it's capital. It was the sin of Jeroboam that made the calf an object of worship. Hosea 8:6 "For from Israel is even this; the workman made it, and it is no God; yea, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces" JEHOVAH God destroyed Northern Israel's (Samaria) system of worship as they were uprooted from their land and taken to Assyria. Eventually JEHOVAH God will destroy every false form of worship done in His name no matter how long it takes. This is exactly what is going on with the trinity doctrine as Jehovah is raising up men to expose this doctrine as false and as idolatry. More and more believers in the Son of God are now rejecting the trinity. It is also noteworthy that mainstream Christianity has largely lost it's salt and has become irrelevant in a big way. Jehoshua Messiah is steadily removing the churches of Christendom's candlesticks because they refuse to repent of their trinitarian idolatry. Hosea 8:7 "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up" Worshipping idols or worshipping an idol as Jehovah God is sowing to the wind and thereby is fruitless and will not reap anything good but to the contrary it will reap the whirlwind. Hosea 8:8-9 8 Israel is swallowed up: now are they among the nations as a vessel wherein none delighteth. 9 For they are gone up to Assyria, [like] a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers. When Israel (northern Kingdom) was dispersed among the nations and swallowed up in them. They lost their identity. They hired lovers meaning idols. They committed spiritual adultery by worshipping false gods. This is what is happening to the mainstream Christian Church as much of their influence in America has dissipated and what's left of the church is in huge apostasy. This is a judgment from Jehovah God as the mainstream church has refused to repent from the idolatry of the trinity doctrine. Hosea 8:10-12 10 Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them; and they begin to be diminished by reason of the burden of the king of princes. 11 Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars for sinning, altars have been unto him for sinning. 12 I wrote for him the ten thousand things of my law; but they are counted as a strange thing. The Northern kingdom of Israel was diminished as they continually hired lovers and multiplied idolatrous practices (altars) sinning in worshipping false gods. Israel was given Jehovah's law but they counted it as a strange thing. Israel thought it strange to worship only one God who is Jehovah, instead they worshipped multiple gods. This was a violation of the most important commandment which is the shema that Jehovah God is one. Modern Christianity has rejected Jehovah's law thereby the natural outgrowth is to reject the most important commandment of the bible which is that God is one. They had formed a golden calf of their own called the trinity doctrine. The law of Jehovah God is a strange thing to the modern church as they say it is bondage and accuse those who keep it as being unsaved. Hosea 8:13-14 13 As for the sacrifices of mine offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but Jehovah accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt. 14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded palaces; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the castles thereof. Despite their attempts at worship, their evangelism and all the other ministry programs Jehovah God does not accept their worship. He will remember their iniquity and visit their sins upon their own head. Returning to Egypt is symbolic of going back to bondage and captivity. The churches of Christendom are in crisis as they have lost their salt. The Babylonian government of America is bullying them right now and the churches are bowing down to Caesar by closing down their churches, accepting sodomy and transgenderism. The churches have forgotten their maker who is Jehovah God. Throughout much of church history the churches acknowledged the Father as the head of Jehoshua even though they held to the trinity. However, in the last several decades the churches have increasingly replaced the Father and elevated Jehoshua above him. The Father has become an after thought for most trinitarian Christians. This is a direct result of the churches throwing out the law which has allowed them to continue in their idolatry of worshipping the trinity god and/or worshipping Jesus as the Almighty God and forgetting about the Father. The American church is beginning to suffer the same fate as Israel and Judah by having their candlesticks removed from their places. Scandal after scandal has seriously damaged the church's witness amongst unbelievers. Combine that with the churches celebrating sin and denigrating God,'s law and you have a recipe for disaster. However, this is Jehovah's doing as the church not only ignores the horrid sin in their camp but they strengthen the wicked Pastors that commit them. This sin is the love of money and the pride of life. All is not lost though as Jehovah God is raising up a remnant that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. ReplyForward

2 Peter 1:1
"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jehoshua Messiah, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and [the] Saviour Jehoshua Messiah" This is one of the passages Trinitarians use to prove that Jehoshua is God. If we take this one verse by itself it's understandable how one can come to this conclusion, however we must take all of scripture into account. In the above verse the word "the" is supplied by the translators as they understand this passage to be referring to two distinct beings, one being God and the other being His Son Jehoshua. Verse 2 actually helps us solve the question whether verse 1 is talking about one or two people. 2 Peter 1:2 "Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jehoshua our King" It is clear from this verse that Peter is referring to two different people, one being God and the other being Jehoshua our King. This is also how we should understand verse 1 even though it could appear to be talking about one person. 1 Peter 1:1-3 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect who are sojourners of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, In verse 2 Peter identifies the Father as God and then in verse 3 he says that the Father is the God of Jehoshua Messiah. So here we have a clear identification of who Peter says God is. Peter says that the Father is the God of Jehoshua Messiah. Peter says that Jehoshua was raised from the dead, this alone shows that Peter doesn't believe that Jehoshua is not God since God cannot die. For Peter, Jehoshua is the Son of God and himself has a God. Who does Peter identify as the one who raised Jehoshua from the dead? 1 Peter 1:18-21 18 knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers; 19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, [even the blood] of Christ: 20 who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of times for your sake, 21 who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. Whereas Jehovah God is eternal, Peter says that Jehoshua was foreknown meaning predestined. Peter says that through Jehoshua we are believers in God. Peter is making a sharp distinction between Jehoshua and God. We must remember that faith in Jehoshua is a means to an end and that end is God. To have belief and hope in God is the goal and the Messiah is how we get to that goal. In verse 21, Peter says that God raised Jehoshua from the dead. Again, Peter is making a clear distinction between the two, God and Jehoshua. Jehoshua is not God but was raised from the dead by God. 1 Peter 2 3 if ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious: 4 unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious, 5 ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jehoshua Messiah. Here in verses 3and 4, Peter identifies the Lord Jehoshua as the elect of God rather than him being God himself. If we cannot understand this simple distinction between the two then we cannot understand the gospel. In verse 5, Peter says that we offer spiritual sacrifices to God through Jehoshua Messiah. This shows that it is God the Father who is the object of the saints worship. Jehoshua is the mediator of that worship. Isaiah 42:1 "Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations" This is Jehovah God speaking through Isaiah. This is a prophecy of Jehoshua. Notice what is being said here, Jehovah God is identifying Jehoshua as his elect (chosen) servant. This is one of the passages Peter is gleaning from in 1 Peter and therefore Peter believes that Jehoshua is the elect servant of Jehovah God rather than Jehovah God. 1 Peter 3:18 "Because Messiah also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit" Peter says that Jehoshua suffered for us so that he can bring us to God. Peter is making a clear distinction between God and Jehoshua. 1 Peter 3:21-22 21 which also after a true likeness doth now save you, [even] baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jehoshua Messiah; 22 who is one the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. Peter says that Jehoshua is on the right hand of God. This was obviously shows that Peter believes that Jehoshua and God are two distinct entities (beings). He says that when we are baptized we obtain a good conscience toward God through the resurrection of the Messiah. God is the goal and the Messiah is the means by which we obtain that goal. Peter is referencing Psalm 110:1 which is a prophecy of the Davidic covenant being fulfilled. That verse also shows that Jehoshua isn't Jehovah but rather is set on the right hand of Jehovah God. 1 Peter 4:11 "if any man speaketh, speaking as it were oracles of God; is any man ministereth, [ministering] as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jehoshua Messiah, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen." The whole purpose of Jehoshua was not to glorify himself but that His God and Father would be glorified through him (Jehoshua). When we do the works of Messiah it ultimately is God the Father that gets the glory. Again, Peter posits God as the end goal and the Messiah as the means to get there. Peter speaks as if God and the Messiah are two seperate beings. 1 Peter 4:10-11 10 And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Messiah, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.11To him [be] the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Peter again posits God as the goal of the Messianic as says that we are called into His (God's) glory in Messiah. This is a reoccurring theme in Peter's epistle in that we are called into God's glory by having faith in His Messiah. I. 1 Peter 1:3, the tone was already set by Peter with the Father being the God of Jehoshua, so this is how we should understand the identity of the Messiah. The Messiah's function is to bring us into the glory of the Father who Peter says is the God of Jehoshua. 2 Peter 2:16-17 16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jehoshua Messiah, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there was borne such a voice to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Peter identifies God as the Father. Who is Jehoshua according to Peter? He is the beloved Son of God. This is the gospel in it's simplicity, one God who is the Father and His only begotten Son who is His (God's) Messiah (anointed one). Jehoshua got his glory and honor from God the Father showing that at one time he didn't have it. This clearly shows that Jehoshua is dependent on God the Father, thus proving he is not God but rather gets his power from God. The testimony of God is that Jehoshua is His beloved Son. Do we believe God? If we do then we will believe that Jehoshua is God's Son not God. This is what Peter believes. In his epistle John warns against denying the witness of God that Jehoshua is His begotten Son. The phrase "This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased" is adapted from Psalm 2:7. Psalm 2:7 is a coronation hymm of a Davidic king, showing clearly that the Messiah's identity is not God but rather God's anointed Davidic King that He (God) coronates/enthrones. Peter, being a good Israelite, knows that God is one and that the prophesied Messiah was a human being of Israelite stock. We should read 2 Peter 2:1 within the understanding that Peter is a commandment keeping Israelite who knows what the bible teaches concerning the nature of the Messiah. ReplyForward One doctrine often left out of the preaching of the mainstream churches is the Kingship of the Messiah. This doctrine of the Son of God's Kingship has been replaced with the "Jesus is God doctrine". This is a serious departure from the gospel that the apostles preached and of course Jehoshua himself.
According to Paul, this amounts to preaching another "Jesus". 2 Corinthians 11:4 "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or [if] ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different gospel, which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with [him]" Preaching another Jehoshua brings another spirit and thereby a different gospel. What does Paul say about those who preach a different gospel? Galatians 1 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema. 9 As we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema. 10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ. Verse 8 is powerful and it should remove from us all fear of man. Not even an angel has a right to preach another gospel. If they do then they will be accursed by Jehovah God. So if angels are not exempt from being accursed, then certainly no man is no matter how popular and loved by Christendom he is. In verse 9, Paul then says any man who preaches another gospel is accursed. We must preach the same gospel that was received by the Galatians. Not one time in the book of Galatians does Paul preach that Jehoshua is God. Often times, we who are in the minority have the fear of man when discussing the subject of whether Jehoshua is God or not. However, let's be encouraged by Paul who says that he is not seeking the favor of man but rather the favor of Jehovah God. This should be our mindset as well. Otherwise, if we are concerned about pleasing man then we cannot be servants of the Son of God. Lets now go to scriptures in the new testament that talk about the Kingship of Jehoshua: Luke 1:31-32 31 And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JEHOSHUA. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and Jehovah God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: The angel Gabriel connects the Sonship of Jehoshua with the throne of David. The angel is telling Mary that her son will be the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant. This is important to understand in that the resson Jehoshua is called the Son of the most high God is precisely because he will be given the throne of David. See 1 Chronicles 28 where Jehovah says he chose Solomon to be His son and chose him to sit on the throne of Israel (David). Luke 1:33 "and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" If Jehoshua was to be King then he must have a Kingdom to rule over. What was this Kingdom? The angel Gabriel says it is the Kingdom of Jacob which includes both Israel and Judea. This also not something taught by the mainstream churches as they position his Kingship to be over gentile denominational churches instead of the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Matthew 2:1-2 1 Now when Jehoshua was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, Wise-men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, 2 Where is he that is born King of the Judeans? for we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him. The wise men from the east knew that the King of Israel had been begotten (Isaiah 9:6). Jehoshua being begotten King of the Judeans shows that the Kingship was his birthright. The wisemen seeing Jehoshua's star in the east fulfills Numbers 24:17. Luke 1:68-69 68 Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel; For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people, 69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David 70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old) The birth of the King of Israel was a long awaited fulfillment of bible prophecy foretold by the prophets of the old testament. This shows that Jehoshua's Kingship is rooted in the old testament and is Israelite in nature. Zacharias, filled with the holy Spirit, blessed Jehovah God as the arrival of the King was a manifest token that God had visited Israel and was bringing them redemption. Zacharias acknowledged that the horn (power) of salvation that Jehovah was raising up to Israel was of the house of David. The arrival of the Davidic King was a sign that Jehovah was with Israel not that the Davidic king was Jehovah himself (Matthew 1:23). Luke 2:11 "for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Messiah the King" Jehoshua was begotten King of Israel in the city of David (Bethlehem). The angel of the holy Spirit of Jehovah announced to the shepherds that the prophesied King was begotten. Messiah means "anointed one of Jehovah" which eliminates him from being Jehovah. Lord here means "King" not Jehovah as Trinitarians try to teach. See Psalm 110:1 for the difference between Jehovah God (LORD) and the one He sets on His right hand (lord). The Davidic King is the second lord in this passage not the first LORD. The first LORD is the name of Jehovah God whereas the second lord denotes a human or angelic ruler. Jehoshua is the second lord which translates into being the Davidic King. Luke 2:25-26 25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed unto him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen Jehovah's Messiah. The consolation of Israel was expected to be the coming Davidic Messiah. The Davidic King is what Luke is referring to when he says Simeon was looking for the consolation of Israel. The Holy Spirit had let Simeon know that he would see Jehovah's Messiah before he was to die. This shows a sharp distinction between Jehovah and Jehoshua. Jehoshua is the Messiah (anointed one) of Jehovah God. Luke 3:21-22 21;Now it came to pass, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22;and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form, as a dove, upon him, and a voice came out of heaven, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. The original quotation of Luke 3:22 has the words of Psalm 2:7. This is important because it shows clearly what is taking place here at Jehoshua's baptism, which is him being anointed as the King of Israel. Psalm 2:7 is not a birth of the King as in literal being conceived or coming out of the womb. Psalm 2:7 takes place within the adult life of the king and it is a royal coronation hymm. Psalm 2:7 could apply both to the anointing of a King and the enthronement. In David's case he was anointed as king years before he was actually enthroned. He had to go through a trial by fire before he actually got the throne yet he was Israe's rightful king from the point that Samuel anointed him. The same is true of Jehoshua, like David he had to experience a trial by fire before he got the throne. Like David, Jehoshua was anointed as King before he got the actual throne. The proof that Jehoshua's baptism was his anointing as King was the very quotation of Jehoshua's baptism account both in Luke 3:22 and Matthew 3:16. The wording of Psalm 2:7 was eventually replaced by the Catholic Church with what we see currently in these passages. This was likely to hide the fact that Jehoshua's Sonship was not some pre-existent Sonship but that his Sonship is rooted in the Royal Davidic covenant. In other words, Jehoshua's Sonship is inherently connected to his Kingship and not him being a pre-existent spirit offspring of God's substance. Two days after Jehoshua's baptism he was confessed as the Son of God and King of Israel by Nathanael: John 1:49 "Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art King of Israel" There is no coincidence that Jehoshua was told this two days after his baptism and it further confirms the inherent connection between being the Son of God and King of Israel. The title Son of God is a Kingship designation and does not have anything to do with Jehoshua being a pre-existent spirit being. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life" The world here in context is the order of Israel (Matthew 15:24). This makes perfect sense since Jehoshua was promised to be the King of Israel in Gabriel's announcement to Mary. Because of the false Greco-Roman Jesus taught by the Christian Churches many miss out on the fact that John 3:16 is a Kingship verse. However, when we read this from an Israelite perspective then it is clearly a Kingship verse. Jehoshua is called God's only begotten Son here and this designation of him being the begotten Son of God hearkens back to Psalm 2:7. Remember, Psalm 2:7 is a royal coronation hymm of an Israelite king. This passage was quoted at Jehoshua's baptism: "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee" If Jehoshua is Israel's King then it makes sense that those are the people that God sent him to. The title "only begotten Son" as stated above is rooted in Psalm 2:7 which is a royal coronation hymm of an Israelite King. This royal coronation hymm is rooted in the Davidic covenant (2nd Samuel 7:14). The title "only begotten Son" is a title of inheritance for the firstborn Son. The firstborn Son could be the literal firstborn son or it could be a son who wasn't the firstborn but was given the firstborn rights. See Ephraim, Isaac and Jacob for the type situation where the firstborn inheritance was given to a son who was not the literal firstborn. When the phrase "begotten Son" or "only begotten Son" is used of Jehoshua it is always in reference to him being the anointed King of Israel. Acts 13:32-33 32 And we bring you good tidings of the promise made unto the fathers, 33 that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he raised up Jehoshua; as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. Bible students disagree about whether verse 33 is talking about the resurrection or baptism of Jehoshua. I believe it is about the baptism of Jehoshua when you read the verse in the overall context of Acts chapter 13. What is not up for debate, is that this is indeed a Kingship text. Notice that Paul uses the Kingship text of Psalm 2:7 and says it is good tidings (good news) which means "the gospel". This shows that the Kingship of Messiah is essential to the gospel message. The promise of the coming King being raised up was made unto the fathers i.e. the patriarchs of Israel such as Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Judah and David. This promise even goes back to Noah and Adam. The fulfillment of the promise was made to our (Israel's) children. The children that the promise was made to was the very children of the Patriarchs which are clearly the children of Israel (Matthew 15:24). It's important to remember that the angel Gabriel told Mary that her Son Jehoshua would reign over the house of Israel forever. It makes then that the promise of the Davidic King was fulfilled to our (Israel's) children. The raising up of Jehoshua is connected with the phrase "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee". This raising up is the same as the raising up of David: Acts 13:22 "And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king; to whom also he bare witness and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who shall do all My will" Notice that the raising up of David was in connection with him being King. This is also in connection with Saul being removed as King. 1 Samuel 16:13 is the raising up of David as King as Samuel anointed him. This shows that the raising up of Jehoshua is in the same context which is when he was anointed as King. When was he anointed as King? John 1:49 shows that he was confessed as King of Israel and the Son of God two days after his baptism. The very next verse of Acts 13 shows that Jehoshua's baptism was his being raised up as Israel's King: Acts 13:23-24 23 Of this man`s seed hath God according to promise brought unto Israel a Saviour, Jehoshua; 24 when John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. The raising up of a Saviour unto Israel was in connection with Jehoshu's baptism showing that the quotation of Psalm 2:7 in Acts 13:33 is about his baptism. Acts 13:34 "And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he hath spoken on this wise, I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David" Now in verse 34 Paul speaks about the resurrection. The word "And" denotes that Paul is moving on to a different event from what he said in verse 33. It was at Jehoshua's resurrection and subsequent ascension that he was enthroned as King of Israel on the throne of David. Paul is quoting from Isaiah 55:3 which reads: 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples. Too many Christians overlook this. Paul's quotation of Isaiah 55;3-4 shows emphatically that upon Jehoshua's resurrection and ascension that he fulfilled the Davidic covenant and was given to Israel as their commander (King/General). The everlasting covenant mentioned in verse 3 is the sure mercies of David which is the covenant Jehovah God made with him. Unlike what the futurists teach Paul says that the sure blessings of the Davidic covenant are fulfilled. This means that Jehoshua is already on the throne of David and that he is already the King of Israel and that he has already united the Southern and Northern Kingdoms. In order for what Paul said to be true Jehoshua had to have been given all of the below at his resurrection/ascension: 2 Samuel 7:12-16 12 When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, that shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men; 15 but my lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16 And thy house and thy kingdom shall be made sure for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. * Obviously, David's days were fulfilled by the time Jehoshua was resurrected so that criteria was met. * Jehoshua's Kingdom was established as Paul says that upon conversion we are translated into the Son of God's Kingdom (Colossians 1:12-13). * The house that Jehoshua is building is the new covenant temple which is the church in which he bears the glory (Zechariah 6;9-15). * All throughout Jehoshua's ministry he was acknowledged as the Son of God and also verified this himself hence "I will be his father and he shall be my son". * Concrete proof that Jehoshua received the throne of David is stated by Peter in the first sermon of the new covenant (Acts 2:29-36). The above are the blessings of the Davidic covenant and in order for Jehoshua to received the sure blessings of David he would have had to receive all of the above. This exposes the Dispensationalist/ Futurist doctrine as utter demonic heresy. Acts 2:29-36 29 Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set [one] upon his throne; 31 he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jehoshua did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear. 34 For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. 36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. This is the first public sermon of the new covenant and it is noteworthy the content of it. Peter squarely zeros in on the Davidic covenant and Jehoshua being the fulfillment of it. Peter acknowledges David as one of the patriarchs of Israel. This is one of the patriarchs that Paul says the promise of the good tidings were made to. Peter says that David is dead and in his tomb dispelling the notion that when we die we go to heaven. This is important because it contrasts with Jehoshua being resurrected from the dead proving that Jehoshua is the fulfilment of the promise made to David. Peter also says that David was a prophet and refers to the Davidic covenant that Jehovah God lade with David. The main part of that covenant was that Jehovah would set the fruit of David's loins (male sexual organs) upon his (David's) throne and establish it forever. According to Peter, what event did David prophesy this being fulfilled? In verse 31 of Acts 2, Peter says it took place at the resurrection of the Messiah. This shows us that the futurist doctrine that Jehoshua is not on the throne of David yet is false and Satanic. This also proves that the Kingdom of Jehoshua started at his ascension into heaven and is not gonna start in some future millennium. Peter continues with the resurrection statement in verse 32 and says that God raised up Jehoshua. This shows us that there is a sharp distinction between God and Jehoshua and that Jehoshua truly died and did not float to heaven as a disembodied soul. Verse 33, the reference to Jehoshua being at the right hand of God is alluding to Psalm 110:1 which is the most alluded to old testament verse in the new covenant. This should tell us something and that is that the Davidic covenant is of paramount importance in the new covenant. Jehoshua's resurrection and ascension is when he was exalted as King to God's right hand in the holy of holies in the heavenly sanctuary. This shows that Jehoshua didn't always occupy this type of exaltation but that is was given him from Jehovah God. Jehoshua received the holy Spirit from the Father upon his ascension and poured it out upon the apostles. Psalm 110:1 is quoted by Peter in verse 34 and 35. This is a resurrection and Kingship text and as stated above the most referenced old testament verse in the new testament. In verse 36, Peter proclaims to the house of Israel that Jehoshua has been made both King and Messiah by Jehovah God. This reference to the house of Israel is key as they were about to be gathered into the commonwealth by the apostles. It was likely that the house of Judah was more represented at the feast but clearly Peter is making it known that the house of Israel was going to be given the message of Jehoshua being made their King. 1 Timothy 6:14-17 14 that thou keep the commandment, without spot, without reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jehoshua Messiah: 15 which in its own times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honor and power eternal. Amen. Paul encourages Timothy to remain faithful until the second advent of Jehoshua. Paul uses the word appearing which clearly denotes a physical coming and not just a spiritual one. In the time of his second advent Jehoshua will show who is the only Potentate (mighty, great authority, ruler) over the earth. This does not exclude the Father but is in regards to human rulers and powers that are on the earth. It could also include angelic ones but it is likely about the earthly ones since the second advent is in view. This fits perfectly with Revelation 11:15: "And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever" This verse is speaking of the last trump sounding and the arrival of the Messiah to war against the kingdoms of this world to take the earth as his possession (Psalms 2:8-9). It will be in this day that the Kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ. There are two ways to read this verse, one way is to understand the Lord as the Father (Jehovah) and Christ as Jesus. This seems to be the most obvious reading, however it can also be rendered as the Lord (Jesus) and his anointed ones (Christ). Alot of people seem to forget that Christ is a title for Jesus and not a proper name. We need to remember that the word "Christ" means anointed one and can refer to any Christian/Messianic. The passage could mean that the kingdoms of this world will become the kingoms of Jesus and his anointed ones (Christians). The bible does teach that we (the saints) will be given the Kingdom under the whole heaven (Daniel 7:27). The phrase King of kings and Lord of Lords that Paul uses in 1 Timothy 6:15 is also used of Jehoshua in Revelation 19:16 "And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS" Just as in 1 Timothy, this phrase is used of Jehoshua in connection with his second advent. Paul says in it's own times Jehoshua will show that he is King of kings and Lord of Lords. Jehoshua said that the Father is the only one who knows when he will come back. All man's attempts at predicting the time of Jehoshua's arrival is futile and in direct disobedience to Jehovah God. We will go back to Revelation 19 to detail exactly how Jehoshua shows that he is King of kings and Lord of Lords. First, let's continue in 1 Timothy 6. In verse 16 Paul says that Jehoshua only has immortality. This statement proves that Jehoshua is the only human being ever to be resurrected from the dead. It also shows that the idea of going to heaven when we die is false, otherwise Paul wouldn't have made this statement that only Jehoshua has immortality. Obviously, Paul is contrasting Jehoshua with other men since God the Father and the angels have innate immortality. If the saints die and go to heaven Paul's statement, that only Jehoshua has seen the Father, doesn't make sense. Paul is clear that no man hath seen the Father nor can see the Father. Paul says that Jehoshua dwells in light unapproachable. The light unapproachable is the Father who dwells in the holy of holies in the heavenly sanctuary. This fits perfectly with what John says in his gospel: John 1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]" Dwelling in light unapproachable is the same as what John says above that Jehoshua dwells in the bosom of the Father. This is a resurrection text. The bosom of the Father is the holy of holies in the heavenly temple. John, like Paul, says that no one can see the Father. This shows that the immortality of the souls is a false doctrine as many should have been able to see the Father if they died and went to heaven. Back to 1st Timothy 6, a final note is that Paul connects Jehoshua being King of kings and Lord of Lords with his being in the holy of holies (light unapproachable. This again connects the resurrection with the Kingship of Messiah as it was the event of the resurrection and ascension that brought Jehoshua into the presence of Jehovah God (Daniel 7:131-4). Revelation 19:11-12 11 And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteous he doth judge and make war. 12 And his eyes [are] a flame of fire, and upon his head [are] many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself. Jehoshua is the faithful and true witness of Jehovah God (Isaiah 43:10; Revelation 1:5). He comes back on a white horse. This shows us that Jehoshua is the rider on the white horse in Revelation chapter 6: "And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering, and to conquer" This is the opening of the 1st seal which coincides with Jehoshua's ascension. He is given a crown which is the crown of David. This proves that this seal takes place at the ascension of the Messiah was into heaven where he was enthroned on the throne of David. Revelation 12:5 parallels this passage as well as the man child was caught up to Jehovah's throne. The conquering is the King Jehoshua conquering the world with the gospel of the Kingdom. History shows that indeed that is what has happened during the new covenant church age as the gospel has spread all over the world. At the second advent Jehoshua comes back to make war against the nations. His eyes as a flame of fire indicate judgment. The Son of God Jehoshua has been given to judge all nations at the last day (Matthew 25:31-46). John 5:22 "For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son" All will stand before the judgment seat of the Messiah (Romans 14:10). On his head are many diadems (crowns). Jehoshua wears a majestic glorious crown. He only wears one crown not many. The plural "diadems (crowns)" is a plural of majesty meaning the plural is used to denote the greatness of the crown. This is the Davidic crown. The name which known one knows but Jehoshua is debated among believers. Some say this is "the word of God" as that is mentioned in the very next verse. However, verse 12 says this is a name that only Jehoshua knows and it seems strange that the name would be revealed just one verse later. I believe Jeremiah 23:6 may have the answer as to what Jehoshua's new name will be: Jeremiah 23:5-6 5 Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness. This is a second advent text. In the day of Jehovah God, which is the last day of this age, a righteous Branch of David will be raised up and bring his Kingdom here to the earth and execute justice and righteous in the land (new heaven and new earth). That is the day of salvation for the house of Judah and the house of Israel (Revelation 7; Revelation 21:12). The Davidic Branch's name will be Jehovah our Righteousness in that day, which is when the eternal Kingdom will come to earth. As the only begotten Son Jehoshua has inherited his Father's name. In fact, all the saints are called by Jehovah's name. Jehoshua is the express image of Jehovah God i.e. the perfect representation of Jehovah's righteousness. Revelation 19:13-14 13 And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure. Verse 13 alludes to the birthright given to Judah back in Genesis 49:11 "Binding his foal unto the vine, And his ass`s colt unto the choice vine; He hath washed his garments in wine, And his vesture in the blood of grapes" It is given to the Judean King the pleasure of killing his enemies and having their blood spilled on his garments. This is no different with Jehoshua as verse 13 of Revelation 19 says that this is exactly what Jehoshua is going to do when he comes back (spill his enemies blood). The angelic armies accompany Jehoshua down to the earth to wage war on the nations. Churches today try to posit the second advent of the Son of God as some mystical event where Jehoshua will just wisk the saints away and snap his fingers and make the wicked into dust. If that was the case the angels would not be needed. Everything about the day of Jehovah indicates a very physical war between Jehoshua and the wicked nations. Revelation 19:15-16 15 And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Jehoshua will smite the nations with his sword and with a rod of iron. Verse 15 seems to indicate that he will rule over the nations politically, however this is quoted from Psalm 2;9 where it says: "Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter`s vessel" The result of Jehoshua ruling the nations with a rod of iron is that they will be dashed in pieces like a potter's vessel. The rod of iron is the staff that a shepherd uses to protect his sheep. Jehoshua is coming to deliver his sheep which are the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Again, the language of treading the winepress brings us back to Genesis 49;11 and Isaiah 63. Just like the old testament the new testament posits Jehoshua as a Warrior King that pours out the blood of his enemies. Jehoshua will tread on the grapes of wrath (the wicked) and squeeze their blood out and stain his garments completely. He does this on behalf of his Father Jehovah. It is his Father's wrath that Jehoshua avenges and pours out. Like Father like Son, both are warriors (Exodus 15:3). John is shown in vision that Jehoshua has the same titles Paul mentions in 1 Timothy 6:15. Jehoshua is the King of those who reign as kings and Lord of those who reign as Lords. As Paul said, Jehoshua will show the nations who is the ultimate King and Lord. This passage in Revelation 19 is exactly how Jehoshua shows them. Revelation 19:17-18 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come [and] be gathered together unto the great supper of God; 18 that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great. The marriage supper of the Lamb is for the saints and it will be on the new heaven and new earth. The great supper of God will be on the earth as well but it will be for the wicked and the wicked will be the supper. The birds of the air will be the guests and they will eat the flesh of those who the Messiah kills. There will be no mercy for the unbelieving no matter their economic or social status as they all will be killed by the Son of God. From the fortune 500 CEO to the sweet lady that knits on her rocking chair, their flesh will be eaten by the birds of heaven. Kings and captains will be part of this meal as well as Jehoshua will overthrow the nations and kill the heads of many countries (Psalm 110). Again, all men both free and bond (slaves) will suffer the same fate of being devoured by the birds if they are not written in the lambs book of life. Revelation 19:19 "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army" The Antichrist Papacy and the kings of the earth will assemble the armies of the earth to make war with King Jehoshua and his armies. It is very likely that the Papacy and the world leaders will claim that the second advent of Messiah is an alien invasion and that the world needs to unite against it. They have already conditioned people through movies that one day their will be an alien invasion and the world will unite to defeat it through military. Revelation 19:20-21 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone: 21 and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, [even the sword] which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh. Jehoshua will cast both the Antichrist and false prophet into the lake of fire. The Papacy is the Antichrist and the false prophet is Protestant America. It will be likely that the representative of Protestant America will be the one thrown into the lake of fire. This could be some big name leader of the evangelical church or a President of the U.S. The "rest" signifying those in verse 18 who were eaten by the birds of the air are also cast into the lake of fire. These are the kings, military men, great men of the earth (rich and/or famous) and those of humble estate such as the poor and regular everyday people. There will be no survivors as only the righteous (meek) will inherit the earth (Matthew, 5:5). These labeled the "rest" are killed with the sword of the Son of God Jehoshua, showing that the Messiah literally kills people when he comes back. The unbelieving will be killed by Jehoshua's army with their swords (Psalm 149). The saints and the angels have this honor. ReplyForward |
